I'm David Potts, the owner of PegMonkey.  I've been a motorcycle enthusiast as long as I can remember.  Dirt bikes, sport bikes, standards, supermotos.  I'm not a huge fan of cruisers or touring bikes, but give me an opportunity to ride one and I won't turn it down.  I've been riding since I was 9 or 10.  Around 1976.  I started riding a neighbors Honda 50.  I think most people my age started out on one of those.  I got my very own YZ125 when I was 13.  It was trashed and I rebuilt the engine and transmission.  Sadly, I only rode it once before being hauled off to PR where there was no place to ride it.  My motorcycle riding stopped till I turned 16 and got an XL250.  I've never stopped since.  I think I went one year since then without a bike.  It was the worst year of my life.

My current job is working as a network engineer at a community college with several satelite campuses.  My dream job would be to evaluate motorcycles and motorcycle products and write reviews.  That's what motivated me to start this web site.  I figured I'd try it out and see if it is something I'd really like to do full time.  Turns out it is.  Anybody want to hire me?

I am pretty much a thrill seeker.  I hate bored(board) games, cards, ball sports.. just not enough adrenaline.  Give me speed or go home.  I'm an all or nothing kind of person.  If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.
